Vendor Information

PURPOSE: Our goal is to create a venue which promotes and educates the public about our U.S. natural fiber industry. The Fiber Festival is designed to give fiber producers, fiber artists and fiber processors an opportunity to display and sell their products, services, livestock and equipment. The Festival therefore incorporates sales, displays, education, competitions and just plain fun for all those interested in fiber.


FACILITY: The WV Wild & Wooly Fiber Festival is an annual event, located at the West Virginia University(WVU) Reedsville Arena, 155 WVU Reedsville Farm Dr. Reedsville WV 26547, on Route 7 west of Reedsville WV. This facility offers both indoor and outdoor spaces for vendors and livestock. There are electric hook-ups, indoor restrooms and a large parking area for cars and trailers.


IMPORTANT INFORMATION: The WV Wild & Wooly Fiber Festival will be held on September 11&12, 2010. All exhibits and vendors must keep their spaces open for the entire time of the festival. Times for the festival are Saturday and Sunday 9:00 am- 5:00pm. Set up for event may take place on Friday September 10, 2010 from 6:00pm-9:00pm and Saturday from 7:00am-9:00am with all participants ready for the public at 9:00am Saturday and Sunday. Vehicles may be unloaded near the facilities but will be moved to the designated parking area by 8:45am on Saturday and Sunday. This event is open to the public and we are not responsible for participant’s property and/or animals. All participants will keep the facilities neat and tidy for the duration of the festival. All vendor stalls and spaces must be cleaned by the participants prior to departure. All livestock pens must be cleaned of manure. Manure dumpsters will be available. Please bring your own equipment for displays, sales, animals etc. Break down and cleanup will be on Sunday from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Please have everything cleaned, packed up and vacate the facility by 7:00pm on Sunday.


VETERINARY INBSPECTION: All livestock brought onto the grounds must comply with the West Virginia Department of Agriculture’s rules and regulations including Certificate of Veterinary Inspection within the past 30 days for livestock. Certificates will be inspected at the entrance gate.


NO DOGS or PETS (certified helping dogs welcome) Dogs are not permitted on the grounds, except for livestock, herding and guard dogs brought for display, exhibition or sales purposes. All dogs on the grounds must be approved and registered for this event before entry and have appropriate vaccinations. Owners are responsible for their dogs at all times and must be considerate of livestock. Clean up after dogs is mandatory.


NO ALCOHOL or FIREARMS: WVU regulations prohibit the sale or public consumption of alcohol on the grounds. No firearms.


REFUNDS: Refunds will only be given with notice of withdrawal by September 1, 2010.
